Acupressure is based on the Chinese meridian system. It uses stimulation of a specific point or points to correct the energy flow within the meridians. Release of muscular tension is often part of the treatment. Correction of the energy flows can have general or specific therapeutic effects on any or all systems of the body. Requires min 2000 hours of related training or license.
Acupuncture is a type of alternative medicine that treats patients by insertion and manipulation of solid, generally thin needles in the body. Through its origins, acupuncture has been embedded in the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). Its general theory is based on the premise that bodily functions are regulated by the flow of an energy-like entity called Qi. Acupuncture aims to correct imbalances in the flow of Qi by stimulation of anatomical locations on or under the skin called acupunture points, most of which are connected by channels known as medians.
Homeopathy is form of alternative medicine in which practitioners use highly diluted preparations that are believed to cause healthy people to exhibit symptoms that are similar to those exhibited by the patient.
