Emergency Preparedness First Aid Kit

Emergency Preparedness First Aid Kit

Your first consideration is to ensure you have one.

We are living in times of great uncertainly as the world continues to struggle with the pandemic, economic instability and war in Ukraine.

While we hope for the best it is prudent to prepare for circumstances that may require survival and lifesaving initiatives.

Most of us have always relied on first responders to assume this responsibility and given little thought of what we would do if it was OUR actions that were required to save a life or lives.

This mental stance will help empower you to begin taking action now so you can be in the best possible position to deal with a difficult situation should it be necessary.

There are many good websites to visit on emergency preparedness that will give you recommended first aid supplies to have on hand. A few resources are listed below:

https://www.redcross.ca › get-an-em…Get an Emergency Kit – Canadian Red Cross

https://www.redcross.ca › crcPDFComprehensive Guide for First Aid & CPR – Canadian Red Cross

https://www.canadian-training.ca › …PDFCPR-Manual_EN_digital.pdf – Canadian First-Aid Training

Start acquiring emergency supplies now, bit by bit, as it is expensive to obtain everything all at once and not all may be immediately available. Remember to include a good first aid book for reference.

Amazon is a great place to begin your search.

In addition to the standard first aid items you will likely also want your own natural supplements, elixirs and homeopathic remedies. Acquire these now.

The most important item for you to move on may be to take first aid training or re-certify in first aid training if you have not kept it up.

As practitioners, you never know, even in the best of times, when you may be called upon to use first aid or have first aid supplies in an emergency situation in your own clinic setting.
